As part of the birthday treat mark also took me to Morton Corbett and Shrewsbury both in Shropshire. They both have castles and both very different. Morton Corbett is a ruin and has part of a ruined stalely home attached to it. Shrewsbury is no a museum and so well looked after.
Never visited Shrewsbury but would go again and worth visiting I suggest if you have never been.
